Straight off the peg, GamerCard® comes preloaded with six challenging, multilevel action games, originally released by indie developers on the Nintendo Switch™ store—now specially adapted and optimized for GamerCard®. These include Bloo Kid 2, a pixel-perfect action platformer packed with levels, swimming stages, and boss battles, and AstroBlaze DX, a hypercharged, rhythm-based space shooter bursting with neon thrills and upgrade mayhem. These aren't just demos—they’re full-featured adaptations, fine-tuned for the high-res square-screen GamerCard® experience. A Pi® Game App will be pre-installed giving users fast track access to specially optimised Raspberry Pi® games, created/modified exclusively for GamerCard's square screen format including Saboteur - a trilogy of Ninja stealth action-adventure games created by Clive Townsend, which are sold on the Nintendo Switch™ store and have been updated for GamerCard®.

GamerCard® is capable of playing thousands of high quality: Arcade, Home-Console, PC and Handheld, classic hit games across a wide range of platforms, using popular emulator* apps such as Recalbox, RetroPie, and Lakka (not included). Such emulation offers users a unique opportunity to get inspired by a massive back-catalogue of classic games—ideal for exploring game history, design, and digital culture before starting your own creation. Ideal for Game Creation with PICO-8™
Compatible with PICO-8™ (sold separately)—the fantasy console app for making, playing and sharing mini retro-style games. GamerCard’s 1:1 square display is a perfect match for PICO-8’s native resolution, delivering pixel-perfect visuals. Students can code, create and play full games within a single lesson—making it a powerful, compact learning tool for game design, logic, and creative coding in the classroom or at home. Completed games can be uploaded to PICO-8s Splore Game browser for everyone to enjoy and share worldwide.

A powerful Quad-core Raspberry Pi Zero 2W board, super-fast, Hi-res 4" square IPS display, stereo amps/speakers, and a battery all compressed into the size and shape of a retail gift card. A New Kind of Flexibility
In response to a global shortage of NAND memory—driven by the explosive growth of AI data centres consuming vast quantities of memory components worldwide—we updated GamerCard® to incorporate a user-accessible microSD slot on the top edge. This keeps GamerCard® competitively priced and puts you in control of your own storage. The 32GB and 128GB bundled versions come with Raspberry Pi OS and six Nintendo Switch™ quality games pre-installed, and ready to play straight off the peg. The base-model version (handheld only) excludes a microSD card or games, and is ideal for users who already own a microSD card or prefer to source their own — simply download Raspberry Pi OS from raspberrypi.org, grab your games & apps from our GamerCard® store, insert your card, and you're ready to go. Pi enthusiasts will also appreciate the ability to remove the card and insert it directly into a PC for software installation, file management, and OS customisation—no cables required. Alternatively you can install files over WiFi (simple setup required).

Controls

Front: 8x silicone control pads using tactile snap-dome micro push buttons.
Back: L+R silicone shoulder-style buttons with tactile snap-dome switches.
Other: Silicone micro push buttons for START, SELECT and POWER-ON.
All silicone control pads and buttons have anti-bacterial coating.

Cooling

Ultra-thin passive heat sink radiator integrated into the Composite Engineered Polymer layer, sits on top of the processor. Helps reduce internal heat build-up and supports potential overclocking.

4-inch IPS display with high resolution (254 ppi), high speed (60 fps), and flush-fit sapphire glass protective layer.

Expandability

Fully expandable via HDMI™ for HDTV etc, USB-C® for keyboard and mouse, and Qwiic® port for breaking out and modifying using the Qwiic® system.
